Harold J. Willens, M.D.
Harold J. Willens, MD, FACC has been a practicing cardiologist since 1980. He served as Clinical Coordinator of Nuclear Cardiology and Stress Testing (1980-82); Director of Heart Station (1983-86); and Supervisor of the Echocardiography Laboratory (1984-86) at Sinai Hospital in Detroit before joining Petoskey Cardiology, P.C. in 1986. Since coming to Northern Michigan, Dr.Willens has served in a number of capacities at both the Burns Clinic and Northern Michigan Hospital and currently serves as President of Petoskey Cardiology, P.C. Dr. Willens graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit in 1975. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine in 1978 at Sinai Hospital of Detroit, where he also served as Chief Medical Resident. In 1980 he completed his Fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases, also at Sinai Hospital of Detroit. Board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Dr Willens is an invasive cardiologist with special interests in cardiac diagnostics, including echocardiography and nuclear medicine. His clinical interests include congestive heart failure and valvular heart disease. Dr. Willens has been involved as co-investigator and principal investigator in multiple multi-center clinical trials. In addition to his private practice in Petoskey, Dr. Willens sees patients in Gaylord. |
